Finding your
way around.

Style Residences is five mid-rise towers around a landscaped garden, and the first day in any of them involves a little guesswork. This page removes it: which tower is yours, how the floors are laid out, what is in the garden, and the one quirk of the door numbering that catches nearly everybody out.

The site

Five towers,
one garden.

The towers stand in a row with the gardens and pools between and behind them. They are lettered rather than numbered, and the letters run backwards as you walk west: Tower A is at the far east end and Tower E at the far west. Worth fixing in your head on day one.

You are in Tower C — the middle one. There is an even easier way to pick it out: E and D are joined around one courtyard, and B and A are joined around another — C is the one standing on its own in the middle. Tower D is on your west side, Tower B on your east.

Each tower has its own lobby and its own lifts — they are not connected upstairs. If you find yourself in the wrong lobby, you have to come back down and walk across the garden; there is no way through at floor level.

Every residential floor in Tower C is laid out identically: one long corridor running east–west, with a shorter wing running south from the middle of it. The lifts are at that junction, in the middle.

Out of the lift, pick your direction The lift doors open at the centre of the floor. The long corridor runs left and right from there; the shorter wing runs away behind you. Your unit is on one of those three arms.
The numbers count outward, not along This is the part that catches people. The doors do not run 01, 02, 03 in a line from one end to the other — they count outward from the lifts in both directions. So two doors with very different numbers can be neighbours, and walking toward a higher number may be taking you further from where you want to be.
There is no Unit 13 The numbering skips straight from 12 to 14. If you are counting doors and one seems to be missing, nothing is wrong — that is why.
Go by which way the numbers move The reliable method: look at your own door number, then look at the one next to it. If the numbers are climbing in the direction you are walking, keep going; if they are falling away, turn round. It works from any door on any floor.
The stairs are at the ends — the lifts are in the middle Three fire-exit stairwells, one at each end of the long corridor and one at the far end of the south wing. Worth knowing for ordinary use, and worth knowing properly for an emergency — see the safety page, which sets out which one is nearest to this unit.
The garbage room is on your floor Every floor has one, so rubbish never goes down in the lift. Sorted wet and dry, into the room, never left in the corridor — the waste page has the whole of it.

The grounds

What is in
the garden.

The space between and behind the towers is landscaped, with four pools, two lounges, a garden square and a covered court. These are the eight numbered features on the building’s own landscape plan.

Zones

Adults’ active

The western end of the site, around the Wading Pool between Towers E and D — the plan describes it as the zone for more active and outdoor pursuits.

Children’s pool & play

The central garden south of Tower C, around the Swim Gym Pool and Playscape. This is the zone closest to you.

Adults’ passive

The eastern end, around the Oasis Pool by Towers B and A — the quiet end, with open lawn for yoga or sitting out.

Before you plan a swim

Using the pools

Please read this one before you put your swimsuit on — pool access here is not automatic for a guest, and we would much rather tell you in advance than have you turned away at the water’s edge.

Message your host first The building reserves the pools for unit owners and residents, admits guests by prior arrangement and per head, and asks them to register at the pool before swimming. Tell us the day and how many of you, and we will sort out what is possible.House Rules §3.5.2

Hours The pools are open 6:00 am to 10:00 pm only.House Rules §3.5.1
There is no lifeguard None of the pools is manned. Anyone swimming does so at their own risk and is expected to take their own precautions — which is the real reason the rules below exist.House Rules §3.5.3.14
Proper swimwear only Swimwear or a wetsuit; board shorts or trunks; cycling shorts. Swimming in ordinary clothes or cut-offs is not allowed — it is a safety rule, not a dress code.House Rules §3.5.3.1
Shower first, dry off after Rinse in the facilities provided before getting in, bring your own towel, and dry off and change before walking back — wet feet in the lifts and hallways are not allowed.House Rules §3.5.3.3–3.5.3.4
Children Under-12s must have an adult with them the whole time, in the water and on the deck. Children still in nappies are not allowed in the pool.House Rules §3.5.3.2, §3.5.3.10
Not at the pool No diving. No glass of any kind on the pool deck. No food, drinks or parties. No running or horseplay, and no water sports.House Rules §3.5.3.6–3.5.3.13

Coming and going

Meeting a delivery Riders are met at the ground-floor lobby, not at your door. The delivery page has the address to give them and the note to add so they can call you.
Visitors Guests of yours are received at Reception and cleared from there rather than coming straight up, so let us know in advance if someone is coming — it saves them waiting in the lobby.House Rules §8.1.1–8.1.2
Keep the lobby moving The driveway is for dropping off and picking up only. It is also where the fire trucks come in, which is why nothing is left standing there.House Rules §8.4.5
Nothing outside your door No shoes, slippers, mats, umbrella stands or bags in the corridor — anything left in a common area is removed. It also keeps the escape route clear.House Rules §3.2.1, §3.2.5
Quiet in the shared spaces Lobbies, corridors and lifts are shared with people who live here permanently. The lifts and lobby are also strictly non-smoking.House Rules §3.2.7
Restricted rooms Machine, electrical, meter and generator rooms are staff-only. If something is wrong in one of them it is a phone call, not a look.House Rules §3.2.6
